I have 2 dogs that I am trying to train to do agility.
Tell us about your career journey so far
Left school, worked in an office, wasn’t for me. Studied Applied Sciences at uni. Worked in distillery laboratories and now supervise day to day running of lab. Returned to uni to complete my masters in environmental analysis and am currently a sustainability and responsibility champion.
What was your favourite subject in school and why?
Favourite subject was physics as I always thought it made maths make sense. I understood why I had to learn the maths to prove the theory.
What subjects/qualifications are useful in your role?
Useful subjects chemistry and biology. Forensic works well for the analytical work. For jobs we normally day minimum HNC.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
Favourite thing about my job is that I can influence the environmental impact which is something I have a personal interest in
What is a normal day in your role like?
Every day is different, I can be doing a routine task then have to go on site to deal with an issue or problem.
