Join Brightside Mentoring as a mentor and make an impact on young people across the country!

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of STEM professionals? Do you want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people? Look no further!

Brightside Mentoring is an online platform that connects young people with mentors who can provide guidance and support regarding their education and career options. By offering a safe and inclusive space for mentorship, Brightside aims to empower young minds and help them make informed decisions about their future paths. They believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to explore different career paths and make informed decisions about their future.

They are currently recruiting STEM Ambassadors to become online mentors this summer. By volunteering your time and expertise, you can help guide and support students as they explore career options and prepare for their future.

This opportunity is ideal for new ambassadors keen to get involved and make a tangible difference in the lives of young people across the country.

Information and Training Sessions:

To share more information, two training and information sessions are planned for mid-June, and registration is open now. The sessions will take place at the following times:

Session 1

Session 2

These sessions will provide you with valuable insights into the mentoring process, guidance on using the Brightside platform, and strategies for effectively engaging with young people. Attending these training sessions will help ensure you are well-prepared to make a positive impact on the lives of the students you could mentor.

After the information sessions, you will have the chance to participate in an eight-week online mentoring program, which will run from July 10th 2023 to September 1st 2023. The program is divided into two tracks:

Mentoring for S3/S4:

  • A focus on providing career insights into sectors of interest for young people at this stage of their education.

Mentoring for S5/S6

  • A focus is on guiding students through "life after school," including higher education options, apprenticeships, and preparing for employment.

Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to connect with your mentees, share your knowledge and experiences, and help them explore their passions and aspirations.

If this sounds like something you are interested in, register for one of the information and training sessions to find out more and get involved!
