About the Event

Tick - Talk is a partnership initiative between the Lyme Resource Centre (LRC) https://www.lymeresourcecentre.com and the STEM Ambassadors in Scotland.


LRC exists to assist the public to enjoy the outdoors more safely by raising awareness of ticks and tick borne disease including Lyme Disease and advising on precautions to take to avoid tick bites.  The LRC also provides information to the public to help them check for ticks and to safely remove them should they detect one attached.  Information is also provided to enable the early reporting of Lyme disease by making the public familiar with the signs and symptoms to be aware of and what to do if they suspect they have contracted the disease.  STEM ambassadors can assist with raising public awareness through our Tick Talk partnership.


The LRC also educates health professionals to improve their diagnostic and treatment skills.
